Music Meditation
I have not heard this term before but I am sure it exists. Some call it ‘active listening’.
Sit down confortably on your sofa, with your headphones or a good set of speakers for a period of 5 to 10 minutes.
Play a track of a peaceful melody; classical or jazz music works best for me.
Notice that this listening experience involves more than just hearing the music.
It entails actively observing every subtle note, intricately following the rhythm, discerning the various instruments involved, and even focusing on the bass line.
A multi-dimensional experience that immerse us fully in the richness and nuances of the sound, allowing us to appreciate the layers of meaning and emotion beneath every note.
Almost like getting inside the music, or teleporting yourself to the concert hall and being physically there with the artist.
The idea is to take one track and listen to it 100 times. If you pay enough attention to it, you will find something new in it everytime you hear it.
