Useful (Personal) Questions

Asking yourself a few questions you can help you get to know yourself better. Some of them will require considerable amount of time to unpack.

Perhaps you can think about taking a weekend just for yourself, where you will have time and space to think about them peacefully. Or during a long flight. A pre-requisite is a calm and uncluttered mind that is able to focus.

I like to have a sketchbook handy and take some notes.

What does ‘all the money’ in the world for you?

What is one thing that you want more than anything else?

How are you conditioned by other people? How/Where do other people influence your thinking?

What role do ‘to-do’s and prescriptions play in your life? Who are the role models that you are looking to emulate?

When was the last time you truly found things out for yourself?

What were the things that you enjoyed and were naturally drawn/interested as a child. Have those influenced your life today?

Which one of your tasks, projects, endeavours felt natural to you. What feels like play to you, but work to others?

Are pleasure and pain two sides of the same coin?

What are your biggest attachments?

What are your biggest needs?
